Utran Energy Strengthens West African Ties at Power Elect Nigeria 2025, Delivering Accessible Energy Solutions
January 2025 saw our company take part in Power Elect Nigeria—one of West Africa’s top energy events—with stops in Abuja and Lagos. The trip proved highly productive: we met with 15 to 20 key clients, including distributors from Abuja and Kano (a major northern city), and gained firsthand insights into Nigeria’s pressing energy needs—shaping our approach to serve the region better.
A core takeaway from the exhibition? Off-grid home energy systems are non-negotiable for most Nigerian communities due to ongoing grid instability. Local distributors shared that they often assemble these systems to supply power to critical spots like hospitals, schools, and neighborhood shops—filling gaps where public electricity falls short. But portable energy storage stole the show: clients were particularly drawn to our 300W, 1kWh (1-degree), and 2kWh (2-degree) mobile units. These products hit two sweet spots: they’re cost-effective, and their price tag is within reach for most buyers—addressing a major pain point, as clients noted that leading brands on the market today are still too expensive.
To help local partners succeed, we didn’t stop at the exhibition. Our team followed up with visits to distributors and agents in the area, launching a special support initiative: by trimming our own profit margins, we’re able to lower the cost of our portable products for them. This 让利 (margin reduction) lets partners boost local marketing, improve on-site customer service, and ultimately get reliable energy into more hands.
We also had the chance to talk directly to end-users—and their feedback was eye-opening. Many shared that even simple portable solutions—ones that power just a few lights and a fan—make a huge difference in their daily lives. These conversations helped us map out more localized use cases, guiding us to tweak our products (e.g., simpler controls, sturdier builds for local conditions) to fit West African lifestyles even better.
Power Elect Nigeria 2025 wasn’t just an exhibition for us—it was a chance to deepen our commitment to West Africa. By focusing on affordable, user-friendly energy solutions and partnering closely with local teams, we’re working to solve the region’s energy challenges while growing together.
